Gerhard Schroeder just won the German general election. Yes yes yes, that certainly is very good news these days with the right wing sweeping all over Europe, but in Germany we have one of the few leftish governments. Im so glad.

I have found a girl. I can't believe it, but Rikke is the one for me. She is all what I have been looking for. 7 years have I spent on the run, and then I have to find the girl of my dreams in unfucking beliveable Silkeborg. That surey is a joke.

School is allright, but I am not attending as many classes as I should. Lazyness and a lack of interest in some of the stuff we are learning. Let's see, I know I will pass.

Maria, my ex and good friend left Glasgow today after having spend a week here. We went to Loch Ness to see if we could catch a glimpse of Nessie, but unfortunaly we didn't have any luck. We were supposed to go skiing in the Cairngorms mountains in the Highlands, but due to poor weather conditions the lifts were closed. The winds were blowing at 130 mph, which is nearly Hurricane conditions, so we didn't get to do some snowboarding.......grrrrrr. Beside that, we fooled around including drinking beer, visiting Modern Art gallery, saw Va Savoir at the cinema and spending time at the cafe's.

I really enjoyed spending time with Maria. It's nice to hang out with somebody from back home. To get into a different lingo........bingo!!.

Didn't post anything during last week due to lack of any info worthwile to waste kb on. Spend the weekend enjoying the telly. Sad but true, the telly can be the most time-consuming bugger ever invented. It's seems when you are surfing the net, you get your info/entertainment on the spot, but the telly is extremely oldfashioned. You have to wait hours before the programs you wanna watch comes on. That's even slower than downloading "Spartacus" on a 9600bps connection. But you still wait, because what if you miss something...........HORROR!!!!!!.

Anyway the "100 Best Sporting Moments in the last century" was on, and what a show. Zatopeks achievements in the '52 olympics was amazing. This 42 old year general from Hungary won the 5.000 and 10.000 metres run. He later decided to join the Marathon which he won as well. Running such a distance for the first time. This was waaay before Simpson collapsed and later died on Isola 2000 in Tour de France 1968. Pumped up on drugs and morphine. This was pure running-talent.

Then there was Ben Johnson's 100 metres in Soul '88. He ran in 9.79 seconds, and today this record is still to be beaten. We ofcourse know today that he as well was injected with all kinds of medical shit. But still when we all know that most athletes today use different biotics to fuel themselves, this record will nearly go up there with Bob. Ohhhh yes Bob Beamonds 9.82 metres jump was there as well. This record was to be unbeaten for over 20 years. After the jump the judges had to get some extra measureband, because their current measurementtools were simply not made for such a distance. There was only taken one picture (I don't know why), and this is the scary part. The picture showed Bob way up in the air, on his way into the historybooks, using all his strength, but one thing was out of order. His eyes were away. Away like you see when someone is in a trance. If you can get hold of that picture look carefully into his eyes and you will see what I am talking about. Bob afterwards said he couldn't remember those 5 seconds from when he started running, until he landed. Whether this is true or not I don't know, what I do know is the man on that picture is a man in a different place than that stadium. (gaeeehhh can you say that???).

Yepper....nice to be back at the dusty desk, with a keyboard full of crisps-grease. It's bloody annoying when people use your keyboard without wasing the shit off their hands first.

Anyway, the weekend consisted of drinking, smoking and eating. Went to the movies saturday to see David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" and what a ride. I have never been a fan of Lynch, but this time he hit the nail right on. Great movie, and enough mindwork for the next couple of weeks to interpretate this masterpiece. After that we went to a pub and got drunk. When I got back to my flat, I had a note in my pocket with a telephonenumber. I must have been too knackered because I can't remember her name, but let's see who this bird is when I call her.

The lake back home that gave me so many memories is frozen. Remembering all those lonely nights just skating away on mirror-looking ice, wants me to go back home to Silkeborg. Just for a wee Iceskate, eventhou it's fookin' cold here in Glasgow as well. Why not just spill some water on the kitchen floor, and dance around like a four-headed donkey with blue shoes and a napoleon mask. Year why not????

Weekend oh dear weekend
let this horrible day have an end
and come to me
with open arms
embraced with freedom

Oh dear weekend
let it bend
behind thick concrete walls
a loud noise can be heard
the weekend is here

Watched "George Washington" at the movies last night. Amazing pictures, absolutely state-of-the-art camerawork. The script was outta The Dreamfactory, so what other could you expect than a cheesy story mixed with a thick American Morale that you only come across in these shitty Hollywood "films". But hey.............If you can't beat them, fuck them!!!.

First entry in the new year.

I am currently working at IBM in Glasgow. Vanessa and I went to the highest point in Glasgow, a cemetary, to watch all the fireworks on New Years eve. The most amazing view over Glasgow, being able to catch all the action in the city at the same time. Not bad at all.
